IT’S ELK DRAW TIME!

2026 Season Elk Tag Draw information and rules:

We are thrilled to announce there will be an elk tag draw for three (3) names.
Entrees will be accepted from August 20, 2026 to September 3, 2026 (closing at 12:00 pm), and must be done via the form below. Draw will be done live on September 4, 2026 @ 2:00pm. If your name was selected last year, in order to ensure equal access for community, please do not enter this year.

There are 3 Elk Harvest Areas – 1 Antlered Bull Elk to be caught per location (no females)

  • Harvest is restricted to 3 Band members that are selected in the 2025 elk draw. The members, once drawn must prove they either have a valid firearms license (FAC or PAL) and there are no court orders prohibiting them from possessing firearms or other weapons.
  • Hunters that are drawn must be the one that harvests the animal.
  • Hunters must report their kill within 24 hours to either James LaFlamme (Tseshaht Fisheries Manager) or John Ross (Lead Fisheries Guardian). The condition of the animal along with the area harvested, date and time harvested must be included.
  • Successful hunters may keep half of the elk meat for themselves the other half will be donated to the band.
  • All the selected hunters must follow applicable BC hunting safety rules and regulations which are attached to the package. This includes only hunting during daylight hours and not hunting in closed safety zones.

Elk must be harvested by December 31st, 2026.
